Orthodox Jews Criticize the Move by Hollywood Stars to Join Kabbalah

There has been a rapid increase in the number of Hollywood stars showing interest in the Jewish mysticism, Kabbalah. This sudden attraction was started by Madonna who joined and studied the ancient Jewish tradition. Other stars, including Marilyn Monroe, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, Sammy Davis, Sandra Bernhard and Elizabeth Taylor have also showed interest in the Jewish Kabbalah. These non-Jewish stars are converting to Judaism for several reasons. Madonna, who has opened more than one Kabbalah center, said that she joined the tradition in order to fulfill its teachings of helping others. Others, including Nick Carter, got involved with Kabbalah to seek peace from their chaotic lives or get family connections. However, many Orthodox Jews have harshly criticized the move claiming that Kabbalah is only meant to be taught to Jewish individuals who are above the age of 40. They wrote a letter to the Kabbalah Center in Los Angels to condemn the act of selling Kabbalistic materials to non-Jews and more information click here.

About Kabbalah Center

Kabbalah is an ancient wisdom that offers people tools for creating happiness and lasting fulfillment. These teachings, which are offered at Kabbalah Center, are based on the sacred kabbalistic text, the Zohar. The Zohar elaborates the mysteries and the spiritual system of the universe, as described in the Torah (Bible). The teachings offer the deepest understanding of the purpose of creation and the essence of God and his interaction on earth. The Kabbalah Center community helps learners to grow spiritually by giving them a platform to exchange ideas and develop meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals and learn more about Kabbalah.

Kabbalah was established in 1922 by the first kabbalistic master, Rav Yehuda Ashlag. He set up the first Kabbalah Center in Jerusalem with the aim of modernizing the guarded wisdom and making it available to others seeking to find peace from the chaos of the world. After he passed on, Rav Yehuda was succeeded by Rav Brandwein. The torch was later passed to Rav Berg, who is the current director of Kabbalah Center. The network has now expanded to 50 locations across the world with over 5,000 students. Kabbalah Center offers both online and offline teachings in form of lectures, books, prayer services, DVD’s and CD’s, and downloads and Kabbalah’s lacrosse camp.

True Supporters

To find true supports of equality and migrants rights anywhere, you need to look no further than Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin – owners of Frontera. Frontera owns a top fund for human rights. Its work may be seen nearly anywhere. You may make any donation to Frontera Fund online.

All must now stand in favor of love and show their supports by genuinely believing in the fundamental importance that human and civil rights play on every individual and his or her society as a greater sum.

To fail to do so is perhaps to fail to see the very next generation at all, if there ever is one. Those generations that worked so hard to preserve our present one must always be thanked, and you will always find that they placed some form of emphasis on human rights altogether – from this, all of life stems.

Human rights affects every area of politics and media as well: Just think about this for a minute, and you will see the connection right away. Politicians have spoken out on one thing in the past: their love or hatred for fundamental human rights; throughout history, this fact alone has not changed. Either people are for the people or against the people, but there is never a solid gray area or middle ground to fall back upon, and that is often a scary thought for any citizen to ponder. That’s why it is so crucial to elect the right people into office, primarily those who care about others and the needs of the country in question. You may know these by the fruit that their lives bear; is the tree healthy, or is it rotting?

Jesus Christ himself, who is still noted as one of the top human rights activists of his time, said that one can tell who is another person is by observing his or her fruits. What past actions have shown good or bad traits?

What are the individual’s current stated belief systems, and do they align with how he or she is living and has lived? Does anything contradict? Always test the motives of any individual in question to see if he or she cares about essential human rights, from which life’s many issues stem.

Some of the greatest human rights activists have been those who have been publicly humiliated and ridiculed, primarily those of minority ethnic groups – such as African Americans.

You surely remember Rosa Parks and MLK Jr. Rosa Parks was discriminated for having God-given black skin color; she tried to have a seat on a bus and was told to give up the seat simply because she was black – she, however, refused to do so and was further discriminated though she stood up for herself and knew what was the right thing to do. MLK Jr. – or Martin Luther King Jr. – dreamed of a day in which people would be judged by something else besides the color of their skin. He believed.
